Macrophotography and proxyphotography are very demanding areas. They require to know how to work with little light while keeping a fast pose time to be able to freeze the movements of the small animals. You have to know how to be patient and calm so as not to frighten wildlife and avoid blur! The term macro is often used incorrectly to refer to all close-up pictures on a subject. The definition of a macro photo is a photo zoomed in at least to 1: 1 ratio (actual size). If the photo is less zoomed than 1: 1, it is a photo proxy.
